FREE THOUGHT ep01
It started with a vision.
For most of my life, I’ve been doing nothing but dreaming.
I never made a huge commitment toward any passions or hobbies as they became non existent just after a few months. I’ve always enjoyed art and creativity, however I wasn’t as committed to do the work and so it’s been an uphill struggle from time to time whenever I would fall into these sort of patterns. Either every other year or every other few years, I would forcefully get myself to sketch or paint something, but it ends up unfinished when it needs just a little touch up and it’s done.
“I slowly began a process of filling each and every minute with objectives.”
My physical health and mental health had fishtailed a U turn, deciding to make changes in my life.
There were a lot of flaws within myself as there are still flaws as I continue to write this. Ever since I got into running, it was something I never imagined doing a deep dive into, yet it’s been a life saver.
I think running allowed me to start growing and start doing.
Where I’m at in life nowadays from running, it pushed me into creativity and in the arts. Because of the nationwide quarantine from the rapid spread of the CORONA-19 Virus, events getting canned left and right got me time off work, creative juices, and big moves in improving my creative tools.
The resources I gained during the quarantine gave me something to work with.
Well, let me preface by saying that over the decade, I’ve gone through many changes that took me into many paths and different channels. I dabbled in many things that showed me the door to another universe. I enjoyed things that I learned and listened to a lot of podcasts rather than music most of the time. Loaded with free time each and everyday, I slowly began a process of filling each and every minute with objectives. Even if it weren’t a long term commitment, I still found myself continue in doing other things. As running and training for races has been a staple each and every year for the past six years now, I’ve also gained my confidence, believing in myself, committing to something and putting in the work, and obviously having fun doing it. It’s allowed me to have the same mindset with my other passions and hobbies.
New challenge, new race.
Yes, running has opened up many opportunities and I am forever grateful because of it. I was able to accomplish quite a few races, had friends and family support, and found valuable opportunities that would have never happened if I never got myself involved. Now that I am attempting to open a new beginning, the inspiration behind Runner’s High Vision is all about the fun adventures and gaining life experiences from it, opens opportunities for others to share their own great adventure and the impact it’s made on them.
“Finding the joy in life because of my passions and hobbies has made the grass that much more green.”
As what’s mentioned, how is it a new challenge?
Having committed to and willfully sat my ass on the chair in front of the computer for hours everyday, has properly trained me to increase my commitment and putting in the work. Runner’s High Vision has gotten the opportunity to finally make itself known as I have dedicated many hours into it over the past few months. I’ve never felt more satisfied in my work and hope it impacts at least one persons life. Giving myself everyday tasks, multiple projects, and learning new things, are all of the challenges I am stoked to take on. The journey leaves behind a distaste of laziness mixed with time wasting and onto bringing more value in my life.
Is there a finish line in site? And what will the challenges look like in the future?
It’s hard to say where the finish line is, but I hope there’s more than one I’d be crossing through. I’d want to continue to stay behind the driver wheel or rather continue in taking many paths on the trail, and find new opportunities and challenges ahead. I can’t predict what kind of opportunities, as running came out of nowhere and it’s given me a lifetime of experiences in a shorter time in my life. Although I will soon be completing another revolution around the sun, I’m glad to have been granted another day in this life. The experiences we go through are finite as the unknown is infinite. This is a world or better yet, universe of wonder and it’s filled with mysterious things. Finding the joy in life because of my passions and hobbies has made the grass that much more green. In conjunction with the grass, it also continues to grow no matter how many times it’s been cut or dried up without water, it will find a way to thrive and it will always be full of life.
The purpose of the FREE THOUGHT episodes are just things that come to mind.
Just like when your running, you tend to veer off in your own head as your looking down along the road or trails. Either the direction in which you are going in the physical realm has to be natural instinct or else you are getting lost as you are in your own headspace. Perhaps the direction of these thoughts can pertain to running, but for whatever reason, maintaining a discussion in a lengthier format could seem fitting along with the series of blogs released in the near future. There is so much content I’m trying to create and maybe this could be a series of journaling that could potentially gain viewers to get out of their boredom, hopefully, and also being able to impart some sort of wisdom!
I’d like to end here with the first write along and just spout some words that came from thoughts. Being able to finally reflect on ideas and making my dreams a reality. I had no idea Runner’s High Vision would even get this far, after feeling great from running and completing my first mile in the beginning of 2014, that it would even get me to do 100 miles in some of the gnarliest mountains of the world. It’s been a journey as has other hobbies in my life. As I continue to explore and see what other realms I might get into, will also impact my life experiences. Having lost many close people in my life, including my mother last year, has really pushed me to fulfill everyday with at least one valuable thing each day. Not regretting any actions or inactions. Be a better person. Well, the list goes on, but hopefully you got the idea.
